Shanhaiguan shipyard is composed of dry docks, ship repair berths, breakwater and the supporting workshops. The east and west breakwaters are arranged in embracing configuration. Dry dock No. 1 accommodates the ships up to 15,000 DWT and dry dock No.2 for the ships up to 50,000 DWT. The six ship repair berths include two piers for the ships up to 50,000 DWT and four berth structures for the ships up to 10,000 DWT.
